5K, 10-mile run kick off Saturday’s Tea Party activities

CHESTERTOWN — A late entry in The Evening Enterprise’s pre-Chestertown Tea Party Festival promotion is mention of the annual Chestertown Tea Party Race and Run for Radcliffe. On Saturday, May 25, beginning at 8 a.m., you have your choice of a 5K, a 10-mile distance run or a 5K for youth 14 and younger. All races start from Wilmer Park.

All proceeds support Radcliffe Creek School’s need-based scholarship fund.

According to a post on the RCS website, more than 60% of its students receive financial aid.

“As the only K-8 school on Maryland’s Eastern Shore primarily serving students with learning differences, the support from the run directly helps families in need who rely on the customized educational services that RCS provides,” the website states.

Pre-registration has closed, but don’t fret.

Registration will be available from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 24 at Radcliffe Creek School during a pre-registration packet pickup party. The school is located at 201 Talbot Blvd., Suite A, Chestertown.

Also, you can register on race day on-site beginning at 6:45 a.m.
