WORTON — Kent County High School honored its senior boys basketball players and cheerleaders Tuesday night, Jan. 28 before the 5:30 p.m. tip-off against North Caroline. From left are JySir Valentine, Naima Jalloh, Olivia Johnson, Makenna Schultz and Jonah Somerville.
They were escorted by family and friends to mid-court, where their biographies were read over the public address system.
All have said they are college-bound in the fall.
Jalloh is headed to Bowie State University, Johnson to Morgan State University and Schultz to Washington College.
Valentine, who eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone earlier this month, is looking to continue his basketball career at Chesapeake College, while Somerville has committed to Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania to play football.
