Modern Stone Age Food Lab provides new twist on team-building

CHESTERTOWN — Kent County Public Schools’ new teachers and their principals enjoyed a hands-on team-building experience Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Modern Stone Age Food Lab in Chestertown. Alicia Boyd of Modern Stone Age Kitchen shared the art of sourdough bread pretzel-making, giving participants the chance to create, taste and take home their own pretzels. “The experience offered a fun way to connect while learning more about one of our outstanding local businesses,” a news release states. Modern Stone Age Kitchen is a community partner of Kent County Public Schools, regularly hosting Food Lab sessions for adult learners and KCPS’ youngest students through the Judy Center, and providing apprenticeship opportunities for Kent County High School students over the years.
