Chestertown Police

CHESTERTOWN — Cheyenne Lee Blockston, 22, Chestertown, on Dec. 20, was charged with failure to stop after an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle; failure to return to and remain at the scene of an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle; failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision; and driving across private property for the purpose of avoiding a traffic control device.

PFC Travis Burke investigated the crash at 10:32 a.m. on Washington Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Corey Jay Sautter, 50, Chestertown, on Jan. 2, was charged with driving while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance; driving while so far impaired that he cannot drive safely; negligent driving; displaying expired registration plate; and knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle.

PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 12:11 p.m. in the 700-block of Washington Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Taylor Charles Irick, 28, Chestertown, on Jan. 3, was charged with driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol; driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol per se; driving, attempting to drive while impaired by alcohol; driving while so far impaired that he cannot drive safely; failure to equip vehicle with required rear red stop lamp visible from a distance of not less than 300 feet; negligent driving; failure to display registration card on demand; holder of a learner’s permit driving without required supervision; and driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization.

PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 8:44 a.m. on Morgnec Road.

CHESTERTOWN — Adrienne Shonique Anderson-Hill, 50, Church Hill, on Jan. 9, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle

PFC Ryan Thompson conducted the traffic stop at 2:09 p.m. in the 500-block of Washington Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Marc Alan Broadhurst, 23, Chestertown, on Jan. 12, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; displaying expired registration plate; and failure to display registration card upon demand of a police officer.

PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 9:24  p.m. on Washington Avenue at Brown Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Joshua James Allen Hunter, 37, Chestertown, on Jan. 22, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not marijuana. He was released on personal recognizance.

PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 9:22 a.m. on Morgnec Road at High Street.

 

Kent County Sheriff

CHESTERTOWN — Tanajah Donya Ward, 29, Silver Spring, on Jan. 10, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; driving while impaired by alcohol; consuming an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle on the roadway; and driving a vehicle with suspended registration.

She was released on personal recognizance.

Sgt. Scott Lockerman conducted the traffic stop at 3:15 a.m. on High Street at Spring Avenue.

Ward was charged after she allegedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, “indicators of impairment” were observed during the roadside interview.

CHESTERTOWN — Cheyenne Mariah Mavorah, 31, and William Bradley Hood, 41, both of Millington, on Jan. 12, were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis; and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Hood also was charged with exceeding the posted maximum speed limit; he allegedly was driving 71 mph in a posted 55-mph zone.

DFC Daniel Parent conducted the traffic stop at 1:59 p.m. on state Route 291, east of Morgnec Cut-Off Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, “indicators of criminal activity were observed.”

Cpl. Michael Piasecki and K-9 Draco conducted a scan of the vehicle; the dog gave a positive alert to the odor of suspected drugs, which led to a “probable cause search” of the vehicle, according to the news release. 

Mavorah had outstanding warrants through Pennsylvania and Caroline County for violation of probation. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
