Baysiders are ‘Mayor’s Pick’

ROCK HALL — Lee Crouch shows off her Rock Hall High School pride while marching in the July 4 parade in her hometown.

She’s a member of the alumni contingent, which now includes daughters Betsy and Lana, that was named the “Mayor’s Pick” prize-winner in this year’s parade.

The alumni association, formed in 1951, has 200-plus members. Many of them marched in last week’s parade, shaking their orange and black pom-poms, or rode in an open trailer. Kent County Public Schools Superintendent Mary McComas, whose first day on the job was July 1, hitched a ride with the former Baysiders.
