CHESTERTOWN — MassoniArt Gallery is presenting a new exhibition featuring Joe Karlik, Kathryn O’Grady and Blake M. Conroy, artists whose work explores the beauty of nature through distinct yet complementary artistic expressions.
The show opened Feb. 1 and will remain on view at MassoniArt Gallery, 113 S. Cross St. in downtown Chestertown through the end of February.
Karlik brings emotional impact to the natural world through his bold designs and arrangements. His work captures the tension present in nature.
O’Grady’s paintings are inspired by the organic forms of landscapes and botanical life found in her own backyard.
In a world that commodifies nature, Conroy shows us the individuality of every living thing.
“Together, this trio of artists create an exhibition that showcases their unique perspective on the natural world,” a news release states.
Hours during the exhibition are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays; and noon to 3 p.m., Sundays.
Private appointments may be scheduled at any time by contacting Carla Massoni at 410-708-4512 or Kate Ballantine at 410-310-0796 in advance.
