WORTON — Kate Cannon and Ethan Clark are Kent County High School’s Bayside Conference Scholar-Athletes of 2024-25, meeting criteria that include maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) and lettering in two or more varsity sports in their senior year.
Cannon lettered in field hockey, basketball and softball this year.
She will attend the University of Maryland, College Park in the fall.
Clark lettered in soccer, wrestling and lacrosse this year.
He is headed to Chesapeake College.
In voting by the KCHS coaches, Cannon and Clark were named the outstanding athletes in the Class of 2025. They also graduated with distinguished honors (GPA of 3.67 or greater) and in the top 5% of the class. Cannon was the valedictorian.
