WORTON — Freshman Amiah Moore, a new member of the Minority Scholars Program at Kent County High School, is all smiles after receiving her certificate of induction Wednesday night, Feb. 19.
The 2025 induction class comprises 14 students, including eight freshmen.
The Minority Scholars Program is student led, student based and student driven with the primary objective of closing the achievement gap.
MSP also is an acronym for Maximizing Student Potential.
Mark Berry Jr. ’06, a doctoral student at Bowie State University, delivered the keynote address at alma mater KCHS. He told the students, “Never let anyone write your story.”
