CHESTERTOWN — Chestertown Mayor David Foster is the guest speaker for the Democratic Club of Kent County’s meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20 at The Kitchen.
The public is invited.
Foster has been mayor here since 2021; before that he was a council member representing the First Ward elected in 2017.
According to a news release, Foster will present an overview of “Kent County’s political, economic and educational history and discuss why change is necessary to ensure quality services for residents while preserving the county’s most valued aspects. Both progress and preservation require active citizen engagement at the local level.”
The Kitchen is located at 208 High St. in downtown Chestertown.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., allowing for time for a social hour and to oder a meal.
A brief business meeting conducted by the club, to include the annual election of officers, will follow at 6:45 p.m.
The program will start at 7 p.m. and end no later than 8:30 p.m.
