Chestertown RiverArts raffling off Paul Reed Smith acoustic guitar

CHESTERTOWN — A Paul Reed Smith-branded acoustic guitar is the prize in a raffle that benefits Chestertown RiverArts.

“Whether you’re a seasoned musician, an aspiring artist, or know someone who is, this guitar can enrich anyone’s musical journey,” a news release states.

PRS Guitar signature artists include Carlos Santana, Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer and Mark Tremonti, who was named “Guitarist of the Year” for three consecutive years by Guitar World magazine.

Raffle tickets, $5 each, can be purchased at Chestertown RiverArts, 315 High St., in the breezeway.

The prize package consists of the guitar (model No. SE60ENA), storage case and four guest passes to a PRS USA factory tour in Stevensville. The total value is estimated to be $1,150, according to the news release.

Tickets may be purchased at the gallery on the following days: Wednesdays-Fridays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A live drawing will be held at the RiverArts gallery on First Friday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Chestertown RiverArts comprises five centers: the gallery, the store, KidSPOT, the Clay Studio and arts education. These centers provide multiple points of access for participation in, education about and appreciation of art in Kent County across a spectrum of mediums, forms and styles, according to the nonprofit’s website.

The news release states, “The proceeds from this raffle will be greatly appreciated and go towards supporting a broad range of offerings that appeal to all age groups.”
