CHESTERTOWN — Kent County Public Library is launching the Creator Studio Kit collection, designed to support local businesses and the creative community by providing tools needed to get creative with your smartphone for portrait photography, still photography, and podcasting or voiceover work.
Made possible by generous grant funding from the Upper Shore Regional Council and with support from Kent County Office of Economic and Tourism Development, these kits are an excellent way to try equipment at no cost, build your skills to a new level, and explore how photography and
podcasting can help your business or organization thrive.
In addition to the Creator Studio Kits, this grant has enabled KCPL to add new books to its shelves on the topics of small business marketing, photography and podcasting.
The books and kits are available at all three KCPL locations — Chestertown branch, 408 High St.; North County branch, 119 N. Main St., Galena; and Rock Hall branch, 21258 Rock Hall Ave.
The Upper Shore Regional Council grant also has made it possible for the Kent County Public Library to work with local organizations and businesses to develop a program series to help people learn about the contents of the Creator Studio Kits and how to use them. The first two events in this series are taking place in September and October.
