WORTON — Boys and girls escorted their favorite adult sweethearts to an evening of dinner and dancing Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Kent County Community Center.
Thirteen couples pre-registered and a handful more were walk-ins to the Valentine’s Ball, presented by Kent County Parks & Recreation and Tip-Top Tots.
It was a formal affair — each gent complementing his dress-up attire with a boutonniere and the gals wearing wrist corsages.
After a meal of pizza, punch and cookies, everyone busted a move to music provided by a DJ in the gymnasium, which had been decorated with twinkling lights and red, pink and white balloons.
This was the second year for an event that was advertised as “a night of elegance and fun … providing unforgettable memories.”
