Delaware woman charged with armed robbery, related crimes

FAIRLEE — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office has charged a second suspect with armed robbery and related crimes in a home invasion this spring.

Kimberly Bronte Wilson, 32, of New Castle, Delaware is being held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Wilson was served an arrest warrant on Oct. 15; the warrant was issued on May 3 for crimes she allegedly committed in late April at the Baywood Village apartment complex near Fairlee.

In addition to armed robbery and home invasion, Wilson is charged with first- and second-degree assault; use of a firearm in a felony or violent crime; first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary; theft, $1,500 to less than $25,000; and conspiracy to commit these offenses.

Co-defendant Dymiere Isiah Clements was arrested on Sept. 12.

Wilson also is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Clements was 16 at the time of the crimes; he was charged as an adult.

She also is charged with trespassing on private property.

According to charging documents, a check of Kent County Sheriff’s Office records indicated that Wilson on two different occasions received a lifetime ban from Baywood Village.

The victim was robbed at gunpoint of about $3,000 and a cellphone, according to the statement of charges.

The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the early afternoon of April 30 in the 23000-block of Baywood Court.

According to charging documents, Clements and Wilson were identified as suspects through surveillance footage from the Baywood Village camera system.

Wilson has a preliminary hearing Nov. 13 in the District Court for Kent County. At that time a judge will determine if there is probable cause to believe she committed the offenses.
