After the storm

ROCK HALL — Clear skies and temperatures forecast for the low 50s on Thursday, Jan. 11 helped Rock Hall residents dry out from the heavy rainfall and flooding of Tuesday night, Jan. 9 into Wednesday morning.

More rain is on the way, however.

This is the most recent post from the Kent County Office of Emergency Services: “While some of the flood waters have receded, several basins are still experiencing moderate to major flooding and those flood waters will be slow to recede through the week. New rainfall Friday night through Saturday morning will exacerbate any flooding that would be ongoing, and new flooding is possible including coastal flooding. Strong to potentially damaging winds will develop yet again Friday night.”
