WORTON — This is what a crisp late August morning looks like at Kent County High School since athletes returned to campus for preseason training.
The weather has been comfortably and unseasonably cool for the start of fall outdoor sports.
Our photo of football practice was taken shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 — less than an hour after sunrise — when the temperature was a cool 57 degrees. That’s senior Jonah Somerville kicking off as the Trojans practice coverage on the return.
KCHS will host North East in a scrimmage at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.
The season opener is Sept. 6 at Bohemia Manor.
