Gill is QA’s new economic development coordinator

CENTREVILLE — Debbie Gill of Church Hill has been hired as the economic development coordinator for Queen Anne’s County.

According to a news release, her responsibilities include supporting business retention and expansion efforts; coordinating with community stakeholders; assisting in grant and incentive program administration; and helping to lead strategic initiatives that enhance the county’s economic vitality

Gill has more than 15 years of experience in operations management, financial administration and community engagement.

She brings “a well-rounded skill set and strong local ties to this key role,” according to the news release from Queen Anne’s County Economic and Tourism Development.

“Debbie’s strong background in both the private and public sectors — especially her experience with nonprofits and government processes — makes her a perfect fit for our team,” Heather Tinelli, director of Queen Anne’s County Economic and Tourism Development, said in the news release announcing Gill’s hiring.

“Her professionalism, community spirit, and ability to build effective partnerships will be an asset to our efforts to grow and strengthen the local economy,” Tinelli said of Gill.

Gill’s passion for supporting small businesses and enhancing economic opportunity aligns with Queen Anne’s County Economic and Tourism Development’s mission to foster sustainable growth and prosperity, the news release states.
