WORTON — More than 200 Kent County High School sports fans — players, coaches, parents, families and friends — filled the school auditorium on Nov. 12 to celebrate the successes of the fall season, which included playoff victories, region titles and crowning of state champion golfer Quinten Joiner.
This was the first assembly for new Athletic Director Kolyn Kirby, who welcomed everyone and spoke about each team.
This also marked the inaugural season for the KCHS trap and skeet club.
Coaches summarized their seasons and recognized their outstanding performers, sportsmen and Coach’s Choice award recipients.

CHEERLEADING: Talicia Wright, most valuable performer; Sophia Espinosa Westcott, outstanding sportsman; and Ayanah Pinkett, Coach’s Choice.
CROSS COUNTRY, GIRLS: Janey Depp, most valuable performer; Sophie Cousineau, outstanding sportsman; and Alden Swanson, Coach’s Choice.
CROSS COUNTRY, BOYS: Pacome Mennetrier, most valuable performer; Lynden Saunders, outstanding sportsman; and Nate Copper, Coach’s Choice.
