WORTON — There was a lot to celebrate this winter on the sports front at Kent County High School, including a state champion wrestler, a state silver medalist in indoor track and a school record in swimming.
These achievements, and more, were acknowledged March 19 when KCHS coaches saluted their most valuable performers, outstanding sportsmen and Coach’s Choice athletes during an all-sports assembly in the school auditorium.

JUNIOR VARSITY CHEERLEADING: A’Shia Davis, most valuable performer; Karmen Brown, outstanding sportsman; and Sophia Espinosa Westcott, Coach’s Choice.
VARSITY CHEERLEADING: Hailey Warrington, most valuable performer; Ava Dalrymple, outstanding sportsman for the second year in a row; and Kamari Hoxter, Coach’s Choice.
COMPETITION CHEERLEADING: Talicia Wright, most valuable performer; Tatayna Copper, outstanding sportsman; and Ayryonna Roberts, Coach’s Choice.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Talicia Wright, most valuable player; Asia Wilson, outstanding sportsman; and Jane Cleary, Coach’s Choice for the second year in a row.
