KCHS’ Joiner, Iacona are conference scholar-athletes

WORTON — Seniors Mary Jane “MJ” Joiner and Noah Iacona are Kent County High School’s Bayside Conference Scholar-Athletes for 2025-26, meeting criteria that include maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 [on a 4.0 scale] and lettering in two or more varsity sports in their senior year.

Joiner and Iacona were honored April 27 at the annual Bayside Conference meeting, held this year at Choptank Elementary School in Cambridge.

They have lettered in three sports in each of their four years at KCHS — Joiner in soccer, swimming and lacrosse and Iacona in soccer, wrestling and baseball.

As scholars, Joiner and Iacona have demonstrated academic rigor consistently.

As athletes, they have displayed outstanding sportsmanship and have performed at the highest level with integrity.

On and off the field, they have been leaders, role models and influencers who set a positive example.

In the fall, Joiner is headed to Roanoke College in Virginia, where she has been recruited to play lacrosse.

Iacona has signed on as a mate on a charter boat for the summer. Beyond that, he is considering several options.
