KCMS to host community kickball, free family movie night May 17

CHESTERTOWN — The movie “Wonka” will be shown on a jumbo screen outdoors at Kent County Middle School on Friday, May 17 when the school hosts its final free family community event of the year.

There will be free popcorn, snacks and beverages.

Co-sponsors are The Bookplate, which will be offering summer reading books on-site, and Hope Fellowship — in addition to the middle school’s Title I Family Engagement Council.

The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a kickball game, to be followed at 7:30 p.m. with a screening of the musical fantasy comedy about Willy Wonka. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for supervision.

In the event of rain, the activities will be held in the school gymnasium.

RSVP to KCMSEvents.org to receive your free tickets.
