CHESTERTOWN — “Find Your Joy,” the 2026 theme for National Library Week [April 19-26], is an invitation to explore and discover what sparks joy for you at the library.
Kent County Public Library is offering the following events to welcome you into the celebration. Both events will be held at the Chestertown branch, 408 High St.
• Join the library’s Executive Director Natalie Hagan at a special screening of the award-winning documentary “The Librarians” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21. Celebrate your freedom to read and explore the role librarians across the country play in defending First Amendment rights and ensuring access to information and resources.
• Join local authors Wendy Sand Eckel, Aggie L. Jae, Ken Linn, Nancy Taylor Robson and Marianne Sade for a panel discussion about writing at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 23.
Limited numbers of the authors’ books will be available for purchase.
