Kent School offering free Saturday ‘Sprouts’ program for 3- to 5-year-olds

CHESTERTOWN — Children and their parents are invited to Saturday Sprouts, “designed to engage and stimulate the curious minds of children ages 3 to 5,” next month at Kent School.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11. The program will be hosted by Kent School preschool teachers; content will be spring-themed, according to a news release.

Parents should plan on staying on campus while their children participate.

Children will have the opportunity to play, make and explore with hands-on activities in the Little School classrooms and playground. They also will be able to take home any projects they make.

Parents may take the opportunity to learn more about the Kent School Little School program while they are there.

Tricia Cammerzell, assistant head of school for advancement, will be on hand to offer tours of the school to anyone interested.
