Plus, Tricia Mooney, a 1983 graduate of Kent School, has been promoted to director of development and alumni relations. Previously, she was an administrative assistant at her alma mater. Mooney also has experience as director of advancement and alumni relations at Gunston Day School, Centreville.

“These new employees and the new role for a current employee will strengthen our overall employee group, and I am delighted with the individual talents and collective experience they each bring to Kent School,” Mugele said in the news release.

Kent School is an independent day school located just outside of Chestertown that serves girls and boys from preschool through grade 8.

Naaldijk comes to Kent School after most recently working as director of accounting and human resources at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Pikesville.

Aikin previously was an administrative secretary for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools.

Arnold is joining Kent School as it launches a middle school academic coaching program offering targeted support and individualized plans for students. In the 2024-25 school year, he served as an assistant teacher and athletic director at St. Andrew’s Day School in Edgewater.
