Library’s branch in Rock Hall relocating; to close temporarily Sept. 16

ROCK HALL — After several years in a temporary location on North Main Street, the Rock Hall branch of the Kent County Public Library is moving to Rock Hall Avenue.

To facilitate the move and setup of the new space, the branch will be closed from Monday, Sept. 16 through Friday, Oct. 4.

Limited services will be available during the closure.

The outside book drop will be available at 5746 N. Main St. (the current location) from Sept. 16 through Sept. 29.

On Monday, Sept. 30, the book drop will move to the new location at 21258 Rock Hall Ave.

Items on hold can be picked up at the Rock Hall branch on these dates:
• Wednesday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m. to noon, 5746 N. Main St.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m. to noon, location TBA
• Wednesday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 21258 Rock Hall Ave.

For information on where hold pickups will take place on Sept. 25, visit KCPL’s website, kentcountylibrary.org, or call the Chestertown branch at 410-778-3636 on or after Sept. 20.

During the transition, Rock Hall branch users can contact the main library in Chestertown for help placing holds, assistance with finding information and any questions about the Rock Hall move.

The Rock Hall branch’s new location at 21258 Rock Hall Ave. will open for full service on Monday, Oct. 7.
