CHESTERTOWN — Players for both sides and fans react after junior midfielder Craig Clark’s shot nestles into the back of the net, giving Chestertown Christian Academy an insurmountable 4-0 lead in the waning minutes of Friday’s soccer match against Faith Baptist School of Salisbury.
Clark (8) walks away from the play, while 12-year-old teammate Ryder Ford signals the kick is good with 5 minutes, 22 seconds remaining.
The final score was 5-0.
The Patriots improved to 7-0.
Their roster is made up of players in grades 6 to 12.
Ryder Ford, a seventh grader, is one of four brothers from Rock Hall who play for CCA. The others are Gage, 13; Colton, 14; and Fox, 15. Their father Bo is an assistant coach.
On Friday, Fox Ford had a hat trick.
CCA is the two-time defending Delaware Valley Christian Athletic Conference champion.
