Pedestrian struck; suffers non-life-threatening injuries

CHESTERTOWN — A 78-year-old man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital on Wednesday night, Nov. 5 after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Chestertown.

The man suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, and he was taken to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware as a precaution, Chestertown Police Chief Ronald Dixon told The Evening Enterprise.

No charges have been filed.

The pedestrian-involved incident occurred at 5:35 p.m. in the 300-block of High Street at Spring Avenue.

The pedestrian was identified as a Queen Anne’s County resident who has an address of Chestertown.

The driver was not identified.
