Chestertown Police

FIREARM. Samuel Leslie Lebo, 41, Chestertown, on Nov. 16, was served a Baltimore County District Court arrest warrant charging him with possession of a firearm without a serial number. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

THEFT. Sgt. Chris Schwink, on Nov. 1 9, took a report of a theft scheme in the 700-block of Washington Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.

FRAUD. Michael Dashawn Risbrook, 37, Wilmington, Del., on Nov. 20, was charged with issuing a false document; forgery of a public document; passing a forged public document; theft, $1,500 to less than $25,000; failure to obey a lawful order; disorderly conduct; and resist, interfere with arrest. He was released on personal recognizance. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 200-block of High Street. Risbrook was arrested after PFC Eric Nunez and Lt. Steve Linz responded for a reported fraud in progress.

THEFT. A 16-year-old male from Chestertown, on Nov. 21, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of theft, less than $100. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 200-block of S. Water Street. PFC Brandon McGinnis investigated.

ASSAULT. A 16-year-old male from Chestertown, on Nov. 21, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 700-block of Washington Avenue. PFC Brandon McGinnis investigated. 

ASSAULT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Nov. 23, responded to the 100-block of Spring Avenue for a reported assault. According to a CPD news release, the suspect was known to the complainant. The complainant was referred to the district court commissioner’s office to pursue charges if they wished.

MDOP. Officer Pedro Rodriguez, on Nov. 25, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 400-bock of S. Cross Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.

THEFT. PFC Travis Burke, on Nov. 27, took a report of theft from a motor vehicle in the 200-block of Barroll Drive. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.

 

Kent County Sheriff

ABUSE. Jarrett Dalton Matherly, 27, Galena, on Nov. 24, was served a district court arrest warrant charging him with second-degree child abuse (two counts); and second-degree assault. He was released by the district court commissioner on $25,000 unsecured personal bond.

ROBBERY. Kwame Tarel Custis, 35, Worton, on Nov. 24, was served a Queen Anne’s County District Court arrest warrant charging him with robbery; arson/threat; and second-degree assault. He initially was detained without bond. 

PROBATION. David Dwayne Morris, 49, Chestertown, on Nov. 28, was served a district court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. 

FUGITIVE. Cheyenne Mariah Mavorah, 31, Dover, Del., on Dec. 1, was served a district court arrest warrant charging her with being a fugitive from the state of Delaware where she is wanted on theft and forgery charges, according to a sheriff’s office news release. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

PROBATION. George Edward Pritchett Jr., 56, Chestertown, on Dec. 2, was served a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

MDOP. Sgt. Travis Manning is investigating numerous reports on Dec. 6 of damage to mailboxes in the 25000-block of Lambs Meadow Road, Worton.

THEFT. Deputy Shane Steppe is investigating a Dec. 6 theft from a vehicle on Main Street, Betterton. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported the estimated loss to be more than $2,000.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Aquil Freeman is investigating a reported assault Dec. 6 in the 8000-block of Bakers Lane, near Chestertown. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported being assault by a known suspect.

FTA. Kevin Earl Taylor, 57, Chestertown, on Dec. 8, was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released by the district court commissioner on his own recognizance.
