Chestertown Police
THEFT. Veronica L. Lewis, 44, Chestertown, on March 2, was served a district court summons for theft scheme, $100 to less than $1,500; and theft, less than $100 [10 counts]. The offenses are alleged to have occurred at the Washington Square shopping center from Nov. 20, 2025 to Feb. 9, 2026. Officer Karyn Harris investigated.
COMPLY. William Dudley Thompson Jr., 55, Chestertown, on March 3, was extradited from Delaware and held in the Kent County Detention Center on a district court bench warrant for failure to comply that was served on Feb. 19.
THEFT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on March 4, took a report of fraud/theft scheme in the 300-block of High Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
ASSAULT. Officer Pedro Rodriguez, on March 8, took a report of an assault in the 800-block of High Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
DRUGS. Courtney Rae Walls, 28, Chestertown, on March 8, was served a district court citation for possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis [to wit: Xanax]. She was released on personal recognizance.
THEFT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on March 9, took a report of a theft in the 200-block of Hadaway Drive. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
ASSAULT. PFC Travis Burke, on March 14, took a report of an aggravated assault in the 600-block of Washington Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
MDOP. PFC Brandon McGinnis, on March 14, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 100-block of Manor Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
