Chestertown Police

ASSAULT. Kenneth Roy Williams, 55, New Castle, Del., on Nov. 8, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault. He was released after signing the summons. The offense is alleged to have occurred Oct. 23 in the 200-block of Morgnec Road.

ASSAULT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Nov. 9, took a report of an alleged assault in the 100-block of Cedar Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing. 

DRUGS. Mathew Lewis Daly, 34, Chestertown, on Nov. 20, was issued a district court arrest warrant charging him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis; possession of CDS paraphernalia; disorderly conduct; and failure to obey a lawful order. The offenses are alleged to have occurred July 15 in the 400-block of High Street. 

THEFT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Nov. 22, responded to the 200-block of Maple Avenue for a reported theft and assault. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing. 

FRAUD. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on Nov. 23, took a report of fraud by check in the 300-block of Devon Drive. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

BURGLARY. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Nov. 23, took a report of an attempted burglary and malicious destruction of property in the 100-block of Prospect Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

MDOP. Marcquan Anthony Butler, 27, Chestertown, on Nov. 24, was charged with malicious destruction of property having a value less than $1,000; disorderly conduct; disturbing the peace; and reckless endangerment. He was released on unsecured bond. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 100-block of S. Cross Street. PFC Brandon McGinnis investigated.

RUNAWAY. A 14-year-old male, on Nov. 28, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of being a runaway. Lt. Steve Linz investigated.

FTA. David Lawrence Grant, 43, Chestertown, on Nov. 29, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on must-appear traffic charges. He was released on personal recognizance.
