FTA. Montrail Cortez Montgomery, 50, Rock Hall, on June 9 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
PROBATION. Kyle William Porter, 31, Rock Hall, on June 10 was served a Dorchester County District Court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
FTA. Ti-Vonna Nashay Hynson, 30, Chestertown, on June 11 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released by the district court commissioner on her own recognizance.
ASSAULT. Sgt. Scott Lockerman is investigating a reported assault June 11 in the 21000-block of Brittany Bay Drive, Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported being assaulted by a known juvenile male from the Rock Hall area. The suspect will be referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
ASSAULT. DFC Daniel Parent is investigating a reported assault June 12 on Betterton Beach. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported being assaulted by an unknown female.
PROBATION. Chance Carter Goldsboro, 41, Chestertown, on June 12 was served a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
THEFT. DFC Tyler Baitsholts is investigating a June 13 theft in the 8000-block of Pippin Hill Lane, Chestertown. The complainant reported a large withdrawal from their bank account electronically without authorization.
ASSAULT. David Bradley Groscup, 26, Reading, Pa., on June 14 was served a district court arrest warrant charging him with two counts each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He was located by Howard County Police and initially was held without bond in the Howard County Detention Center. The charges stem from alleged offenses June 12 in the 28000-block of Valley Road, Kennedyville. Lt. Sean Maloney investigated.
FTA. Jacob Leon Swyka, 38, Chestertown, on June 14 was served a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
FTA. Jyaire Ahmere Henry, 25, Newark, Del., on June 15 was served a Worcester County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released by the district court commissioner on unsecured bond of $10,000.
Henry also was served a Kent County District Court arrest warrant charging him with 22 traffic offenses that include failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision; fleeing and eluding; exceeding maximum speed, 103 mph in a 55-mph zone; failure to drive right of center; unsafe lane changing; failure to yield right of way at intersection yield sign; passing in a no-passing zone; failure to return to and remain at the scene of an accident; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; operating an unregistered vehicle; and driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center on $10,000 bond
