Chestertown Police
FTA. Corey Dwayne Bass, 53, Chestertown, on June 16 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court [on June 3] for traffic charges. He was released on personal recognizance.
FTA. Keenan Blaine Houston, 33, Chestertown, on June 18 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court [on May 8] for traffic charges. Bail initially was set at $5,000.
PEACE ORDER. Craig Sudler Willis, 54, Chestertown, on June 19 was served a district court summons for peace order, failure to comply. He was released on personal recognizance.
ASSAULT. Jonah Isaiah Somerville, 18, Chestertown, on June 22 was served a district court arrest warrant charging him with first-degree assault; second-degree assault [two counts]; and solicit second-degree assault. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail. The offenses are alleged to have occurred June 21 in the 200-block of Kennedy Drive.
NEGLECT. Alijah Anyae Taylor, 20, Chestertown, on June 21 was served a district court summons for neglect of a minor. She was released on personal recognizance. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 500-bock of High Street.
ASSAULT. Maikhi Davonte Tiller, 21, Chestertown, on June 23 was served a district court arrest warrant charging him with first-degree assault; second-degree assault; and reckless endangerment. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 300-block of Calvert Street.
DRUGS. Christopher Lee Sproates, 45, no fixed address, on June 23 was served district court citations for possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis [to wit: cocaine]; and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was released on personal recognizance. The offenses are alleged to have occurred on High Street. PFC Ryan Thompson investigated.
THEFT. PFC Ryan Thompson on June 24 took a report of a theft in the 300-block of Calvert Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
