Chestertown Police

THEFT. Three males on June 5 were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of motor vehicle theft. They were identified as a 14 -year-old from Church Hill; a 17-year-old from Church Hill; and a 14-year-old from Barclay.

The theft is alleged to have occurred May 10 in the 300-block of Hadaway Drive.

ASSAULT. Two 15-year-old females on June 24 were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 800-block of High Street. PFC Travis Burke investigated.

FTA. Shayquan Taynay Sampson, 32, Chestertown, on June 30 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

ASSAULT. Alijah Anyae Taylor, 20, Chestertown, on June 30 was served a district court arrest warrant charging her with second-degree assault. She was released on personal recognizance.

Diamond Onyae Warren, 18, Chestertown, on July 1 was served a district court arrest warrant charging her with second-degree assault; and mace/chemical device with intent to injure. She was released on personal recognizance.

On June 25, a 16-year-old female was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of second-degree assault.

In all cases, the offenses are alleged to have occurred June 21 in the 300-block of Roosevelt Drive.

FORGERY. Adrian Thomas Saccone, 19, Chestertown, on July 1 was served a district court summons for forgery of private documents; possession of forged documents; issue a false document; and theft, $100 to less than $1,500. He was released on personal recognizance. Officer Karyn Harris on June 30 took a report of fraud in the 200-block of High Street. The offenses are alleged to have occurred June 26.

MDOP. PFC Brandon McGinnis on July 4 took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 100-block of Scheeler Road. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.

DISORDERLY. Richard Joseph O’Neill, 30, Chestertown, on July 4 was charged with disturbing the peace; disorderly conduct; and public intoxication, disturbance. He was releassed on personal recognizance. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 600-block of Washington Avenue. PFC Travis Burke investigated.

DISORDERLY. Jennifer Mae Ingledue, 35, Chestertown, on July 5 was charged with disorderly conduct; and disturbing the peace. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 600-block of Washington Avenue. PFC Travis Burke investigated. Ingledue initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. 

DRUGS. Ricardo Lamont Matthews, 33, Chestertown, on July 6 was served citations for possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis [to wit: crack cocaine]; and possession of CDS paraphernalia. 

ASSAULT. Andrew Sarmiento-Hernandez, 19, Germantown, on July 9 was charged with second-degree assault; and reckless endangerment. He was released on personal recognizance. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 200-block of Maple Avenue. PFC Brandon McGinnis investigated.

BURGLARY. Officer Meera Srinivasan on July 9 took a report of a burglary in the 200-block of Philosophers Terrace. According to a CPD news release, a suspect has been identified.

ASSAULT. Axel Perez-Flores, 20, Middletown, Del., on July 12 was charged with first- and second-degree assault; reckless endangerment; resist, interfere with arrest; and failure to obey a lawful order. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 100-block of Morgnec Road. PFC Eric Nunez investigated.

According to a CPD news release, Perez-Flores also was found to have an active district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court for traffic charges from 2024 through the Kent County Sheriff’s Office. 

He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
