Chestertown Police
THEFT. A 16-year-old male on Aug. 2 was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on complaints of theft and burglary. The offenses are alleged to have occurred July 9 in the 200-block of Philosophers Terrace. Officer Meera Srinivasan investigated.
TRESPASS. Monica Margaret Wood, 47, no fixed address, on Aug. 3 was served a citation for trespassing on private property. She was released on her own recognizance. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 800-block of Washington Avenue. PFC Travis Burke investigated.
MDOP. Courtney Michelle Ruark, 29, Chestertown, on Aug. 5 was served a district court summons for malicious destruction of property having a value of more than $1,000. She was released on her own recognizance. The offense is alleged to have occurred Aug. 1 in the 100-block of Flatland Road.
ASSAULT. PFC Ryan Thompson on Aug. 8 took a report of an assault in the 400-block of Calvert Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is active.
DRUGS. Stephanie Renae Taylor, 37, Cambridge, on Aug. 9 was served a district court arrest warrant charging her with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis.The offense stems from an alleged incident on April 9 in the 300-block of Scheeler Road.
According to a CPD news release, Taylor was located by Baltimore City Police and initially was detained in Baltimore City.
FTA. Sherman Terrence Cotton Sr., 66, Chestertown, on Aug. 12 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center in lieu of bond.

CONTEMPT. Jante Khalil Ward, 26, Worton, on Aug. 4 was served a circuit court body attachment for contempt. He was released after posting a cash bond.
CONTEMPT. William Danford Cann III, 29, Chestertown, on Aug. 4 was served a circuit court body attachment for contempt. Bond initially was set at $1,500.
COMPLY. Kyle William Porter, 31, Rock Hall, on Aug. 4 was served a Dorchester County District Court bench warrant for failure to comply. He was released to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
FTA. Dylann Mae Grauer, 22, Elkton, on Aug. 4 was served a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released by a court commissioner on her own recognizance.
THEFT. DFC Shane Steppe is investigating a theft from a vehicle in the 24000-block of Still Pond Neck Road that was reported Aug.5.
CONTEMPT. Dashawn Tyrell Watson, 38, Chestertown, on Aug. 7 was served a circuit court body attachment for contempt. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
ASSAULT. Brandon Jamar Jameison Phillips, 33, Chestertown, on Aug. 9 was charged with second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 7400-block of Poplar Avenue, Chestertown. Phillips initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. On Aug. 10, he was released after posting $5,000 unsecured personal bond.
