Chestertown Police

MDOP. Two females, on Dec. 8, were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of malicious destruction of property. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 100-block of Conley Drive. PFC Brandon McGinnis investigated.

THEFT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Dec. 15, took a report of an alleged theft in the 100-block of Hawkins Drive. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

MDOP. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on Dec. 17, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 300-block of Cannon Street.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on Dec. 17, responded to the 600-block of Washington Avenue for a reported aggravated assault.

FRAUD. Officer Travis Burke, on Dec. 18, took a report of fraud/scam in the 200-block of S. Mill Street.

ASSAULT. Sholom Eliezer Braun, 34, Lakewood, N.J., on Dec. 19, was charged with second-degree assault; and disorderly conduct. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 800-block of Washington Avenue. Officer Ryan Thompson investigated.

THEFT. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on Dec. 20, took a report of a theft in the 400-block of Egret Court.

MDOP. Cpl. Chris Schwink and Lt. Steve Linz, on Dec. 21, responded to the 200-block of S. Queen Street for a complaint of malicious destruction of property. The suspect was identified as a 12-year old. According to a CPD news release, “Due to the suspect being under the age of 13 and unable to be charged in the state of Maryland for the offense of MDOP, a juvenile referral was not completed. Case cleared by exception.”

FRAUD. PFC Brandon McGinnis, on Dec. 22, took a report of credit card fraud in the 200-block of Birch Run Road.

THEFT. Jamie Lyn Jackson, 40, Chestertown, on Dec. 29, was charged with theft, $100 to less than $1,500. This is a shoplifting complaint at the Washington Square shopping center. Cpl. Chris Schwink investigated.

MDOP. Officer Travis Burke, on Jan. 1, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 800-block of High Street.

TRESPASS. Ebone Jazette Jackson, 39, Baltimore, on Jan. 1, was issued a district court arrest warrant charging her with trespass, posted property; trespass, private property; and malicious destructive of property having a value less than $1,000. The offenses are alleged to have occurred Aug. 27 in the 200-block of Flatland Road.

ASSAULT. Eboni Shartez Kennard, 27, Chestertown, on Jan. 2, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred Dec. 24 in the 500-block of Washington Avenue. Officer Ryan Thompson investigated.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on Jan. 4, responded to the 200-block of Leeds Court for a reported assault. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.
