DRUGS. Montez Lamonte Blake, 39, Chestertown, on Jan. 9, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with use of a firearm during the commission of a felony/violent crime; firearm/drug trafficking crime; and numerous drug-related offenses including possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute in a school zone. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

FTA. Jason Alan Bozarth, 46, Chestertown, on Jan. 9, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

DRUGS. Terrance Jerome Swinson, 61, Chestertown, on Jan. 9, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with drug-related offenses including possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute in a school zone. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

THEFT. DFC Aquil Freeman is investigating a Jan. 9 theft of a vehicle in the 100-block of North Main Street, Galena. The vehicle, identified as a 2005 white Chevrolet Astro van, was subsequently involved in a hit-and-run crash in Smyrna, Delaware. The vehicle has been recovered, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

THEFT. DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating the theft of a Schwinn Mountain Bike in the 7800-block of Sandy Bottom Road, near Chestertown. The theft was reported Jan. 10. The bike has an estimated value of $350, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

ASSAULT. DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating a reported assault Jan. 11 in the 9100-block of Fairlee Road, near Chestertown. The complainant told police that two people were assaulted. A suspect has been identified.

BURGLARY. Jamequa Ledorsha Watts King, 27, Chestertown, on Jan. 13, was issued a Dorchester County District Court summons for fourth-degree burglary. She was released on personal recognizance.

PROBATION. Shayquan Tynay Sampson, 31,  Chestertown, on Jan. 13, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation. She also was issued a district court bench warrant for possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis; possession of contraband in a place of confinement; and possession of paraphernalia. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond on both warrants.
