NEGLECT. Members of the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigations Division met with the Kent County Department of Social Services, on Feb. 13, in reference to the reported neglect of a minor that allegedly occurred in the Chestertown area. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the investigation is continuing.

ASSAULT. Akilah Uniqua Johnson-Downes, 30, Worton, on Feb. 13, was charged with first-degree assault (five counts); and having a handgun on person. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Also, Bryanden Lamont Barnhart, 29, Worton, was charged with first- and second-degree assault. He was released on his own recognizance.

The charges stem from alleged offenses on Brindley Drive, Worton.

DFC Aquil Freeman was the arresting deputy.

KCSO deputies and assisting agencies were dispatched for “a large physical disturbance,” according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The investigation is continuing.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Jordan Proudfoot is investigating a Feb. 14 report of a sexual assault involving two juveniles that allegedly occurred in the Rock Hall area.

ASSAULT. George David Outten, 45, Chestertown, on Feb. 14, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with first- and second-degree assault; and reckless endangerment (two counts). He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

ASSAULT. Montrail Cortez Montgomery Jr., 29, Chestertown, on Feb. 14, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with first-degree assault. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

FIRE. DFC Collin Shockley is investigating a Feb. 15 vehicle fire on Lambs Meadow Road, Worton. The vehicle, identified as a 1994 GMC truck, sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene. The vehicle was being driven by a Millington man at the time of the fire, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

THEFT. Heather Nicole Comegys, 31, Chestertown, on Feb. 15, was issued a district court summons for theft, $100 to less than $1,500. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Destini Patrice Somerville, 23, Worton, on Feb. 16, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Shannon Mone Ward, 33, Worton, on Feb. 16, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Lauriea Diane Johnson, 38, Chestertown, on Feb. 17, was issued a district court arrest warrant charging her with conspiracy to commit second-degree assault. She was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

FTA. Adrienne Theresa Bush, 33, Bear, Del., on Feb. 18, was issued a Cecil County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Averie Onya Somerville, 26, Worton, on Feb. 18, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. DFC Collin Shockley is investigating a reported assault Feb. 19 in the 800-block of Washington Avenue, Chestertown. A suspect has been identified, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
