FTA. Jillian Leah King, 35, Worton, on Feb. 20, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on $3,000 unsecured bond.

DRUGS. Myron A. Taylor, 44, Chestertown, on Feb. 20, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with drug-related offenses that include possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute; and numerous traffic offenses. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

DRUGS. Shelton Maurice Wilson, 39, Centreville, on Feb. 22, was issued a circuit court arrest warrant charging him with drug-related offenses that include possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute; resist/interfere with arrest; and numerous traffic offenses. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

THEFT. Jerry Brian Grussing, 49, Chestertown, on Feb. 22, was issued a Queen Anne’s County District Court summons for theft, $100 to less than $1,500. He was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Christopher James Hewitt, 44, Millington, on Feb. 22, was charged with second-degree assault. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 32000-block of River Road, Millington. DFC Michael Piasecki investigated.

EXTORTION. DFC Collin Shockley is investigating a report of the distribution of intimate/sexual images that allegedly occurred in Chestertown. On Feb. 25, the complainant told police that an unknown person threatened to distribute intimate images if they did not pay a set amount of money via an online money transfer.

THEFT. Cpl Jordan Proudfoot is investigating a reported theft Feb. 26 in the 21000-block of Rock Hall Avenue, Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, “A known suspect attempted to cash numerous fraudulent checks.”
