Kent County Sheriff

PROBATION. Lincoln Shamel Thompson-Riley, 31, East Stroudsburg, Pa., on Feb. 27, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

THEFT. Sgt Sean Maloney is investigating a Feb. 28 reported theft of about $2,500 from the Kent County Government.

THEFT. Cpl. Nate Blazejak is investigating a Feb. 28 reported theft and fraud scheme; the complainant told police that money was debited from their debit card account. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the theft is believed to have originated in the Worton area.

PROBATION. Brian Keith Neal, 47, Chestertown, on March 1, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

PROBATION. Derrick L’Von Ferrell, 37, Crumpton, on March 1, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

FTA. Dashawn Chavez Lister, 26, Millington, on March 1, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.

PROBATION. Erica Anita Reeves, 37, Millington, on March 2, was issued a Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court bench warrant for violation of probation. She was released to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office for service of the warrant.

BURGLARY. DFC Dave Nolan is investigating a March 3 reported burglary in the 23000-block of Old Fairlee Road, near Chestertown. According to a sheriff’s office news release, there were signs of forced entry into a dwelling that was unoccupied.

COMPLY. Donna Mae Ruth, 41, Chestertown, on March 3, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to comply. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

FTA. Maria Luisa Sanchez Vallecillo, 48, Galena, on March 4, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on her own recognizance.

FTA. Alberto Morales Velazquez, 26, Millsboro, Del., on March 4, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.

PROBATION. Stephen Andrew Whitlock, 47, Chestertown, on March 4, was issued a Kent County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court; a Kent County Circuit Court bench warrant for violation of probation; and a Talbot County District Court bench warrant for violation of probation. He initially was held without bond in the Kent County Detention Center on all three warrants.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, when Whitlock was issued the above warrants, he was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance and CDS paraphernalia. He was issued a criminal citation for these violations.

Chestertown Police

THEFT. A 15-year-old male, on Feb. 23, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of theft, $100 to less than $1,500. The offense is alleged to have occurred Feb. 20 in the 200-block of Maple Avenue.

THEFT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Feb. 23, took a report of a theft in the 400-block of Morgnec Road. According to a CPD news release, the complainant was referred to the district court commissioner’s office if they wanted to file charges.

ASSAULT. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Feb. 24, took a report of an assault in the 100-block of South College Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.

MDOP. PFC Ryan Thompson, on Feb. 26, responded to the 300-block of Cannon Street for a complaint of malicious destruction of property. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT. Montrail Cortez Montgomery Sr., 48, Chestertown, on Feb. 27, was issued a district court summons for malicious destruction of property, having a value less than $1,000. The offense is alleged to have occurred Feb. 7 in the 100-block of Philosophers Terrace.

ASSAULT. Michelle Marie Montgomery, 36, Chestertown, on Feb. 27, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault; and malicious destruction of property, having a value less than $1,000. The offense is alleged to have occurred Feb. 7 in the 100-block of Philosophers Terrace.

FRAUD. Officer Ryan Thompson, on Feb. 27, took a report of fraud, credit card/automated teller in the 300-block of High Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT. Silvana Tipson, 21, Hagerstown, on Feb. 27, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault (two counts); and malicious destruction of property, having a value more than $1,000.

On Feb. 28, Shannon Salandy, 23, Chestertown, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault (two counts); and sex offense, fourth-degree sex contact (two counts).

Also on Feb. 28, Bryson Ostrum, 19, Chestertown, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault (two counts).

The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 300 block of Washington Avenue.

PFC Meera Srinivasan, on Feb. 27, took the report of an alleged assault.

THEFT. Lt. Steve Linz, on Feb. 28, took a report of a bike taken in the 300-block of Washington Avenue. A suspect was identified. According to a CPD news release, the complainant did not want to pursue charges. The case is closed.

THREAT. Officer Travis Burke, on Feb. 29, took a report of threats in the 500-block of Washington Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.
