Chestertown Police
FTA. Kristina Marie Gormley, 43, Chestertown, on March 1, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of second-degree assault.
THEFT. PFC Brandon McGinnis, on March 1, responded to the 700-block of Washington Avenue for a reported theft. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.
FTA. Derrick L’Von Ferrell, 37, Crumpton, on March 4, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of theft, less than $100.
MDOP. Eugene Vernon Bethel, 31, Chestertown, on March 7, was charged with malicious destruction of property, having a value less than $1,000. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 300-block of Roosevelt Drive. Officer Ryan Thompson investigated.
ASSAULT. Officer Ryan Thompson, on March 10, responded to the 100-block of Oak Leaf Drive for a residential alarm. Through preliminary investigation, it appears there was an assault and malicious destruction of property. According to a CPD news release, “All parties were referred to the Kent County District Court Commissioner’s Office to file charges.”
MOTOR VEHICLE. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on March 10, took a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 100-block of Morgnec Road. According to a CPD news release, the vehicle was located and a suspect was identified. The complainants were referred to the Kent County District Court Commissioner’s Office if they wished to pursue charges.
