Chestertown Police

FRAUD. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on March 13, took a report of fraudulent checks in the 100-block of Flatland Road. According to a CPD news release, the complainant was referred to the district court commissioner’s office if they wished to pursue charges.

FORGERY. Mimi M. Smith, 44, Chestertown, on March 14, was issued a district court summons for forgery of a private document; issue a false document; possession of a forged private document; and attempted theft, $100 to less than $1,500. She was released on personal recognizance.

FRAUD. Officer Ryan Thompson, on March 15, took a report of credit card fraud/identity theft in the 600-block of High Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

ASSAULT. PFC Eric Nunez, on March 16, responded to the 100-block of Philosophers Terrace for a reported assault. According to a CPD news release, the complainant was referred to the district court commissioner’s office if they wished to pursue charges.

FRAUD. Cpl. Chris Schwink, on March 20, took a report of fraud in the 100-block of Spring Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

COUNTERFEIT. Officer Ryan Thompson, on March 22, took a report of “counterfeit checks” in the 600-block of Washington Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

BAD CHECK. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on March 24, took a report of a bad check in the 200-block of South Mill Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is continuing.

ASSAULT. PFC Eric Nunez, on March 25, took a report of an assault in the 700-block of Washington Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the complainant was referred to the district court commissioner’s office to pursue charges.

THEFT. PFC Eric Nunez, on March 26, took a report of a theft in the 200-block of Calvert Street.

 

Kent County Sheriff

FTA. William Franklin Shaulis, 40, on March 19, was issued a Cecil County Circuit Court body attachment for failure to appear in court. He was released to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office.

THEFT. Joshua David Fauver,  31, Chestertown, on March 20, was issued a Caroline County District Court arrest warrant charging him with theft, $1,500 to less than $25,000. 

Fauver also was issued a Calvert County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

He was released by the district court commissioner on unsecured bond on each warrant.

FTA. Amanda Danielle Thornton, 37, Rock Hall, on March 21, was issued a Queen Anne’s County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released by the district court commissioner on an unsecured bond. 

ASSAULT. DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating a reported assault March 21 in the 22000-block of Martin Wagner Road, Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant told deputies that he was kicked by a known suspect. 

THEFT. DFC Daniel Parent is investigating a March 22 reported forced entry into a vehicle and attempted theft in the 7000-block of Rock Hall Road, Rock Hall.

FTA. Heather Nicole Comegys, 31,  Rock Hall, on March 25, was issued two district court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. She was released by the district court commissioner on an unsecured bond on each warrant.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Comegys was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance-not cannabis (to wit, crack cocaine) when she was served the bench warrants. She was issued citations for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia, and then released. 

COMPLY. Jamal Stephen Chew, 44, Elkton, on March 25, was issued two Cecil County Circuit Court bench warrants for failure to comply. He was released into the custody of the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office.
