Chestertown Police

COMPLY. Kenya Kanwanna Taylor, 31, Chestertown, on March 20, was issued two district court bench warrants for failure to comply. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center.

ASSAULT. Officer Travis Burke, on April 7, responded to the 100-block of Flatland Road for a reported assault and incident of malicious destruction of property. According to a CPD news release, a suspect has been identified.

MDOP. Officer Travis Burke, on April 7, responded to the 200-block of Cannon Street for a complaint of malicious destruction of property. According to a CPD news release, the case remains open.

ASSAULT. Officer Travis Burke, on April 7, responded to the Washington Square shopping center for a reported assault. According to a CPD news release, a suspect has been identified.

ASSAULT. Officer Travis Burke, on April 10, responded to the 200-block of Scheeler Road for a reported assault. According to a CPD news release. the case remains open.

THEFT. Aaliyah Deshay Jiggets, 20, Chestertown, on April 10, was issued a citation for theft, less than $100. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the Washington Square shopping center. Officer Travis Burke investigated.

Kent County Sheriff

ASSAULT. Cpl. Nate Blazejak is investigating a reported assault of a juvenile April 9 in the 26000-block of Maple Avenue, Still Pond.

FTA. Dimere Quintel Rasin, 35, Millington, on April 9, was issued a circuit court body attachment for failure to appear in court. Bond initially was set at $500.

FTA. Marquis Dante Moals, 29, Millington, on April 11, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.

PROBATION. Bruce Armont Green Jr., 45, Chestertown, on April 11, was issued a circuit court summons for violation of probation. He was released on personal recognizance.

THEFT. Deputy Brady Collins is investigating a reported theft of parts from a vehicle April 11 in the 21000-block of Sharp Street, Rock Hall.

ASSAULT. DFC Daniel Parent is investigating a reported assault April 12 in the 30000-block of Chesterville Bridge Road, Millington. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant told police that “a known suspect attempted to suffocate her.” The suspect fled in a vehicle prior to the arrival of deputies.

PROBATION. Montrail Cortez Montgomery Jr., 30, Chestertown, on April 12, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for violation of probation  He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

ASSAULT. A 17-year-old, on April 12, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a complaint of second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 8300-block of Broad Neck Road. DFC Colin Rhodes investigated.

MDOP. DFC Colin Rhodes is investigating an April 14 complaint of malicious destruction of property on Cypress Street, Millington. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant told police that someone threw rocks at his vehicle.

ASSAULT. Joseph Christopher Cooper, 25, Worton, on April 14, was charged with first- and second-degree assault; reckless endangerment (two counts); and use of a firearm in commission of a felony or violent crime. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported that a handgun was pointed at her following an altercation. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 25000-block of Lambs Meadow Road, Worton. DFC Michael Piasecki and Sgt. Sean Maloney investigated.

ASSAULT. DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating a reported assault April 14 in the 11000-block of Austin Court, Worton.

FTA. Stephen Christian Barbour, 38, Chestertown, on April 14, was issued an Allegany County Circuit Court body attachment for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.
