THEFT. Officer Ryan Thompson, on April 23, took a report of a theft in the Washington Square shopping center. According to a CPD news release, the case remains active.
MDOP. Officer Ryan Thompson, on April 23, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 400-block of High Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.
MDOP. Officer Travis Burke, on April 24, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 300-block of Cannon Street. According to a CPD news release, the case remains active.
UNAUTHORIZED USE. Jennifer Marie Bailey, 44, Middle River, on April 26, was issued a district court summons for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The offense is alleged to have occurred April 4 in the 300-block of Cedar Street.
COUNTERFEIT. Officer Ryan Thompson, on April 27, took a report of counterfeit money having been used in the 700-block of Washington Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.
Kent County Sheriff
THEFT. Cpl. Dave Nolan is investigating an April 26 theft of a catalytic converter from a 2010 Ford van parked in the 11000-block of Kennedyville Road, Kennedyville. Theft/damage is estimated to be more than $2,000.
THEFT. Jordan Francis Jester, 28, Rock Hall, on April 26, was issued a district court summons for theft, $1,500 to less than $25,000. He was released on personal recognizance.
FTA. Jason Nathaniel Seago, 39, Chestertown, on April 27, was issued a Cecil County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.
ASSAULT. DFC Colin Rhodes, on April 28, responded to the 23000-block of Baywood Court, near Fairlee, for a reported assault. “Investigation revealed that a mutual assault occurred between the two parties and they were referred to the court commissioner for charges,” a sheriff’s office news release states.
FTA. Elizabeth Ann Ramirez, 44, Rock Hall, on April 28, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, during service of the warrant, Ramirez was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance-not cannabis and CDS paraphernalia. She was issued criminal citations for the violations.
THEFT. Michael Dale Schrader, 45, Smyrna, Del., on April 29, was issued a Cecil County District Court arrest warrant charging him with theft, less than $100. He was released on personal recognizance.
OBSCENE. DFC Daniel Parent is investigating a reported allegation on April 29 of someone sending obscene images to a minor in Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, a suspect has been identified.
THREAT. A 13-year-old from the Rock Hall area, on April 29, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services after allegedly making a threat of a shooting at a Kent County public school. Lt. Scott Duhamell investigated.
