Chestertown Police

ASSAULT. PFC Brandon McGinnis, on May 2, responded to the 600-block of Washington Avenue for a reported assault. “At this time the victim refused to file charges. Case closed,” a CPD news release stated.

MDOP. PFC Brandon McGinnis, on May 2, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 400-block of Calvert Street. According to a CPD news release, the investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT. Kevin Earl Taylor, 56, and Marquis Dante Moals, 29, both of Chestertown, on May 2, were charged with second-degree assault; disorderly conduct; and affray. Each was released on personal recognizance. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in the 600-block of Washington Avenue. PFC Brandon McGinnis investigated.

MDOP. Officer Ryan Thompson, on May 7, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 300-block of High Street. “The victim advised they did not want to pursue charges. Case closed,” a CPD news release stated.

MDOP. PFC Meera Srinivasan, on May 8, took a report of malicious destruction of property in the 200-block of Mount Vernon Avenue. According to a CPD news release, the case remains open pending additional investigation.

ASSAULT. Karrie Lee Drabic, 46, and Alyssa Michelle Brown, 26, both of Chestertown, on May 10, were issued district court summonses for second-degree assault following an alleged incident in the 100-block of Sutton Way. Officer Travis Burke investigated.

FTA. Devin Marquis Rasin, 38, Millington, on May 16, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on $2,500 bond.

FRAUD. PFC Brandon McGinnis, on May 24, took a report of an incident of online fraud on Harlan Loop.

Kent County Sheriff

BURGLARY. DFC Wayne Baker is investigating a reported burglary May 21 in the 5500-block of Boundary Avenue, Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant told deputies that someone forced entry into a locked garage.

MDOP. Hollie Rene Evans, 53, Worton, on May 21, was issued a district court summons for malicious destruction of property; and theft, $100 to less than $1,500. She was released on personal recognizance.

FTA. Dariyana Nishaye Embrey, 22, Smyrna, Del., on May 22, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on personal recognizance.

FTA. Chaz Armon Peete, 28, Newark, Del., on May 23, was issued a Cecil County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on personal recognizance.

FTA. Heather Nicole Comegys, 32, Rock Hall, on May 25, was issued three district court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. She was released on an unsecured bond on each warrant.

FTA. Peyton Dallas Parks II, 29, Chestertown, on May 27, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

FTA. Gary Michael Thornton, 39, Rock Hall, on May 27, was issued a Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released into the custody of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
