Chestertown Police

FTA. Marshall Colbert Smith Jr., 42, Owings Mills, on June 19, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on traffic charges from January.

TRESPASS. Michele Paige Kelley, 55, Chestertown, on June 19, was charged with trespassing. She was released on personal recognizance. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 700-block of Washington Avenue. Cpl. Chris Schwink investigated.

 

Kent County Sheriff

FTA. Sara Katherine Levan, 35, Rock Hall, on June 18, was served a district court body attachment for failure to appear in court. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

THEFT. Cpl. Parker Hudson and deputies of the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the June 19 theft of a 2015 Hyundai Sonata from the 10000-block of Worton Road, Worton. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the vehicle was recovered on Georgetown Road, near Chestertown.

THEFT. Sgt. Nick Watson and deputies with the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the thefts of two vehicles as well as thefts from 12 other vehicles from numerous locations within Rock Hall. The thefts were reported on June 20.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, both vehicles have been recovered. One of the vehicles was found to have crashed causing “disabling damage,” and had to be towed from the scene. The Maryland State Police crime lab assisted with processing of evidence.

According to the news release, several suspects have been identified.

THEFT. Cpl. Dave Nolan is investigating a June 21 burglary and theft from an attached garage in the 5500-block of Eastern Neck Road, near Rock Hall.

FUGITIVE. Amanda Courtney Haley, 36, Oxford, Pa., on June 21, was served a district court arrest warrant charging her with being a fugitive from the state of Pennsylvania. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

BURGLARY. DFC Daniel Parent is investigating a June 21 burglary in the 23000-block of Raleigh Road, near Chestertown. The complainant reported that someone forced entry into their residence.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Kasey Griffiths is investigating a reported assault June 21 on Judefind Avenue, Rock Hall. The complainant reported being stabbed in the leg; he was transported to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

THEFT. Mimi Monique Smith, 44, Chestertown, on June 22, was served a Queen Anne’s County District Court summons for theft, less than $100. She was released on personal recognizance.

BURGLARY. Deputy Levi Manning is investigating a June 23 burglary in the 21000-block of Sharp Street, Rock Hall. The complainant reported that someone forced entry into their residence.
