Chestertown Police

ASSAULT. Kahleel Naseem Black, 19, Chestertown, on Oct. 4, was issued a district court summons for second-degree assault. The offense is alleged to have occurred Sept. 7 in the 100-block of Hawkins Drive.

ASSAULT. Durrell Tyshawn Cornish, 37, Chestertown, on Oct. 10, was issued a summons for assault.

ASSAULT. Courtney Rae Walls, 25, Chestertown, on Oct. 10, was charged with second-degree assault. She was released on $3,000 unsecured bond. The offense is alleged to have occurred in the 200-block of Edge of Town Drive. Officer Travis Burke investigated.

ORDER. Melissa Semchenko, 39, Chestertown, on Oct. 19, was issued a district court summons for violating a protective order/peace order.

BURGLARY. Cpl. Chris Schwink on Oct. 20 was dispatched to the 200-block of Brown Street for a burglary.

Kent County Sheriff

TRESPASS. A 17-year-old male from the Chestertown area, on Oct. 17, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on a trespassing complaint. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the teen had been suspended from Kent County High School and refused to leave campus after being directed to do so by school administration and law enforcement. He was released into the custody of a family member. Cpl. Philip Trinks investigated.

ORDER. Durrell Tyshawn Cornish, 37, Chestertown, on Oct. 18, was issued a district court summons for violation of a protective order. He was released on personal recognizance.

FTA. Lamont Arnell Downes Jr., 24, Centreville, on Oct. 18, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on $3,500 unsecured bond.

COMPLY. Lamont Dervon Kennard, 39, Chestertown, on Oct. 24, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for failure to comply. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

BURGLARY. DFC Aquil Freeman on Oct. 24 responded to the 21000-block of Persimmon Drive, near Chestertown, for a reported burglary. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant told police that a known suspect entered the residence without permission and removed an electronic device.

FTA. Tedvin Jarmar Perry, 32, Worton, on Oct. 26, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bail.

FTA. Kiyan Lamare Hynson, 43, Chestertown, on Oct. 26, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He was released on $3,000 bond.

FTA. Jennifer Marie Posey, 43, Centreville, on Oct. 27, was issued a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

THEFT. Deputy Colin Rhodes is investigating an Oct. 29 reported theft in the 8000-block of Tolchester Road, near Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant told police that a known suspect removed items valued at more than $4,000.

FTA. Nyaijah Lmani Warren, 21, Dover, Del., on Oct. 30, was issued a district court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was released on personal recognizance.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Jordan Proudfoot is investigating an alleged assault Oct. 29 in the 7700-block of Sandy Bottom Road, near Chestertown. The alleged assault was reported Oct. 30. According to a sheriff’s office news release, a suspect has been identified.
