FTA. Stephen Andrew Whitlock, 48, Millington, on Aug. 6, was served two district court bench warrants for failure to appear in court. Bail initially was set at $5,000.

ASSAULT. Deputy Tyler Baitsholts is investigating a reported assault Aug. 6 on Brittany Bay Drive, Rock Hall. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported being assaulted by a known suspect.

ASSAULT. Cpl. Dave Nolan is investigating a reported assault Aug. 7 in the 12000-block of Pines Road, Worton. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant, who suffered minor injuries, reported being intentionally struck by a vehicle operated by a known suspect.

THEFT. Deputy Brady Collins is investigating a reported theft Aug. 7 in the 23000-block of Baywood Court, near Fairlee. The complainant reported that a checkbook was taken and several checks were fraudulently passed.

ASSAULT. John Edward Scott, 39, Millington, on Aug. 8, was charged with first-degree assault; second-degree assault; and reckless endangerment. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Richard Allen Scott, 59, Millington, on Aug. 10, was served a district court arrest warrant charging him with first-degree assault; conspiracy to commit first-degree assault; second-degree assault; conspiracy to commit second-degree assault; reckless endangerment; and conspiracy-reckless endangerment. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, the assault occurred Aug. 7 in the 31000-block of Chesterville Bridge Road, near Millington. The victim was located by a passerby and was transported to an area hospital for treatment of “serious” injuries.

Lt. Scott Duhamell was the initial investigator. The sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division subsequently took the lead in the investigation.

COMPLY. A 16-year-old from the Chestertown area, on Aug. 9, was served a circuit court body attachment for failure to comply. The teen initially was held without bond and released to the Department of Juvenile Services.

FTA. Flavio Peralta Mendoza, 40, Denton, on Aug. 10, was served a circuit court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

DISORDERLY. Christopher James Hewitt, 45, Millington, on Aug. 10, was charged with disorderly conduct; and failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order. He was released by the District Court Commissioner on a $7,500 unsecured bond. DFC Michael Piasecki and other deputies responded to the 32000-block of River Road, Millington, for a reported disturbance. 

PROBATION. Arlington Damont Phillips, 59, Worton, on Aug. 11, was served a Kent County District Court bench warrant for violation of probation and a Queen Anne’s County District Court bench warrant for failure to comply. He was released on an unsecured bond on the Kent County warrant and held without bond on the Queen Anne’s County warrant

PROBATION. Kristopher Michael Dean, 37, Worton, on Aug. 12, was served a Queen Anne’s County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. Bond initially was set at $15,000. Dean also was served three Kent County Circuit Court bench warrants for violation of probation. Initially, he was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond on each warrant.

THEFT. Wilfredo Eulalio Barrios Velasquez, 19, Hartly, Del., on Aug. 12, was served a Queen Anne’s County District Court arrest warrant charging him with theft, $1,500 to less than $25,000. He was released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.
