Post-legislative breakfast to feature 36th District delegation

CHESTERTOWN — The Kent County Chamber of Commerce is returning as host of a post-legislative session breakfast discussion with the 36th District delegation of Sen. Steve Hershey (R-Upper Sh0re) and Delegates Jay Jacobs (R-Kent), Steven Arentz (R-Queen Anne’s) and Jeff Ghrist (R-Caroline).

The event is 8:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at Heron Point, 501 East Campus Ave., Chestertown.

This is an opportunity for community members to engage directly with their elected representatives and gain insights into the 90-day Maryland General Assembly session that adjourned Monday, April 8.

Sarah King, executive director of the Kent County Chamber of Commerce,  said in a news release: “This post-legislative session breakfast serves as a vital platform for fostering dialogue between our community and legislative representatives. We are excited to provide Kent County residents and business owners with the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about the decisions and initiatives that will impact our local community.”

This will be a moderated panel discussion, which will include accomplishments of the 2024 session, critical developments that affect Kent County residents and businesses, and address questions from the audience.
