TOLCHESTER — Ryker Shaw, 8, gets some resistance from his market lamb Hulk as they enter the show ring Friday night for the Kent County Fair’s pretty animal contest. Dressed as baseball players, Ryker and Hulk won the prize for the best sports theme.
The county fair at the Kent Agriculture Center in Tolchester wraps up Saturday, July 19 with a full slate of activities beginning at 8 a.m. The chicken barbecue dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated 4-H livestock and cake auctions. The fairgrounds will close at 11 p.m.
Admission is $3 per person; there is no cost for children 4 and younger.
