CHESTERTOWN — Chestertown RiverArts’ annual ReImagined Runway gala is returning to Chester River Yacht & Country Club on Saturday, Aug. 3. What has been described as “a wildly entertaining fashion extravaganza” features runway models flaunting fabulous outfits created from recycled rubbish.
Several of last year’s winning designers will be back, including Cori Lynn Arnold, Kayti Didricksen, Christine Kamon, Kris Kelley-Majors, Dora Pelczar, Laura Skinner and Pam Vogel.
The popular event has expanded this year to include dinner table service and a signature cocktail for all ticket holders, French cabaret-style live music and an unconventional silent auction.
Dress is casual and colorful.
Guests will vote for the Peoples Choice Award.
The silent auction will offer a broad range of items that include:
• two tickets for a scenic sunset cruise on the Chester River aboard the River Packet, a 65-foot, 1920s-style classic yacht
• a $200 gift certificate to Modern Stone Age Kitchen for a family pizza dinner held on their patio
• three mini-bottles and a tasting at Crow Winery
• your choice of one-of-a-kind whimsical painted furniture and sculptures created by visionary artist Nancy Smith
• artwork by Marcy Dunn Ramsey and other well-known artists
• a class with award-winning pastel artist Mary Pritchard
Tickets are on sale now at www.chestertownriverarts.com/reimagined-runway.
