CHESTERTOWN — Summer vacation officially started Thursday afternoon, June 12 for Kent County Public Schools’ students in grades pre-K through 11. [Kent County High School’s Class of 2025 graduated May 30.]

Thursday was a half-day for students.
On Wednesday, eighth graders at Kent County Middle School celebrated their promotion to high school.
Summer recess with continue until late August.
Breaking with recent history, Kent County Public Schools will have a pre-Labor Day start for the 2025-26 academic year.
